"Iran on Notice"
Iran has been an on-going problem for our country. This past week Paul Ryan received a letter from the Trump administration that the Islamic Republic of Iran was in compliance with the Iran Nuclear Deal. Trump absolutely hates this deal!!!! Trump promised to remove this deal but it has yet to happen. Some of the Trump administration want to go hard on the Iranians and the others was to be cautious since these people are a "leading state sponsor of terror." This past week Vice President Mike Pence had a stern talk with North Korea also while Rex Tillerson was calling out Russia (Iran's ally) about how they need to be stricter on the use of chemical weapons there. President Trump seems to be fearless about upsetting Tehran; Trump sees Iran as a big problem that needs to be dealt with. Trumps feelings and action plans relating to Iran are very different compared to Obama's. How President Trump will deal with Iran is something many people are anticipating to see.
In ap gov we have talked about the president's jobs and the powers he shares with the senate. Some of these powers include making treaties, appointing ambassadors, and appointing judges. The president and congress really need to work together to come up with a plan of action for Iran. We also just learned that the two main issues the president will face are the economy and foreign affairs. Our countries conflicts with Iran is a major foreign affairs problem. How our president deals with this issue will definitely have many people talking.
After reading this article I have a better understanding on what out president's plan for action is regarding Iran. I think that Trump should stay true to his promise when he said he was going to get rid of the the Iran Nuclear Deal. I like how Trump wants to take action to put down these enemies of ours instead of just watching from a distance. I think we should make sure Iran knows that our country is "not a force to be reckoned with."
